BREAKING NEWS

Keti Koti - the chains are cut !

Hi Lovely's !

Hope you had a great weekend, and are ready to start a new week !

Today I celebrate the emancipation Day or in better terms in the end of Slavery in Surinam.

Slavery was abolished by the Netherlands in Suriname in 1863. However, slaves in Suriname would not be fully free until 1873, after a mandatory 10 year transition period during which time they were required to work on the plantations for minimal pay and without state sanctioned torture. After 1873 many slaves left the plantations where they had suffered for several generations, in favor of the city of Paramaribo. In 2009 several cities in the Netherlands hosted various activities, making this day a day of national celebration and remembrance throughout the country as well as today!

Even though I do not have direct relatives who were slaves, but that doesn't mean I forget or that I can't show my respect for those before me!

Today we will have many activities in Netherlands but it will not be as big as in Surinam!
I thought It would be a good thing to share with you since I'm glad that we can celebrate this day freely and with everyone!

Fashion Flash  !

Enough education for today while celebrating I have some new must haves items for on my Wish List
and would love to know your oppinion.

1. Bag - Lacrom
2. Bracelet - Lacrom
3. Skirt - Zara
4. Blouse - River Island
5. Sandals -  van den Assem

It must have caught your attention that this is the most colorfull look in months haha!

I really liked skirt due to the bright color and shape it gives you when wearing it. A nice simplistic short sleeved blouse will do just fine while rocking this look with a pair of bright sandals.

Keeping my accessories minimal but keep true to my own style by adding these cool face bracelet to the mix.

This small, yet functional bag is perfect for a work or a day out, and I personally like the handles of it!

What do you think ?

Stay tuned for me new post because I'll be baking a special surprise for you !

                                               Happy Monday!
